PIR supported (or provided) Kentish Family Support House with funding to support the needs of local young people. The project involved a community event in Sheffield to raise awareness and provide education to the community on youth mental health. Nathan Hulls spoke to grade 7-10 students and staff at the Sheffield School about the importance of good mental health, motivation and self-esteem. The project also involved teachers and community members being trained in Teen Mental Health First Aid and grade 9 students undertook Youth Mental Health First Aid training. PIR was also able to support the Kentish Family Support House Coordinator to be trained as a facilitator of Teen Mental Health First Aid – an investment in the Kentish community’s future.
